Warrick Humane Society October 2022 Dog Adoption Special

SPECIAL ADULT DOGS AT WHS

The Warrick Humane Society is a great place to find your new best friend. Unfortunately, at the moment adoptions are incredibly slow and they are completely full. WHS is a no-kill shelter, so if they don’t get these dogs out soon, other dogs in euthanasia shelters won’t be able to take their place. So this week, WHS is offering half-price adoption fees. This adoption special is valid for dogs over 6 months old that are fully vetted, and adopted dogs must leave the shelter no later than 1 day after being adopted. The special runs from 10/26 to 10/30.

Meet Jack

Jack is a one-year-old Boxer mix who weighs 53 pounds. He has the prettiest smile and the friendliest personality! Jack loves to play ball, likes children, gets along very well with other dogs and even gets along with cats. He walks well on a leash and is super sweet. He would do wonders in a forever home with a family that can spend a lot of time with him spoiling him the way he deserves. He would be even happier if there was another dog at home to hang out with! Jack is neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccinations, heartworm negative and up to date on heartworm and flea/tick prevention. Her adoption fee is $200.

The refuge is open for visits from Wednesday to Sunday from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. with extended hours on Thursday until 7 p.m. Save time by submitting an adoption application on our website before visiting: warrickhumanesociety.org/adoption.

MORE ADOPTABLE ANIMALS AT WHS

Meet Molly

Meet Molly. Molly is a pit mix who has been at the WHS for a little while now and is ready for her forever home! The BEST part about Miss Molly McMutt is that she’s clean! She’s four, so she still has a lot of life left in her, but she’s old enough to settle down and doesn’t have the energy and habits of a puppy. She doesn’t care for cats, so a home without feline friends would be best. She is awfully cute with her big doe eyes and sweet smile.

Meet Poppy

Meet Poppy! This is a beautiful three year old Pointer mix. Poppy is great with people, very tolerant and loves cuddles. She has made other doggie friends here at the shelter and is picky with others. We suggest a meet and greet if you have another dog. She keeps a clean kennel indicating she is probably clean. Poppy has medium to high energy and knows a few basic commands such as sit and shake. This darling would like to be in her house forever!

Meet Pascha

Pascha is a beautiful 7.5 month old pit mix looking for her forever home. She is spayed, heartworm tested, microchipped and up to date on vaccines, fleas/ticks and heartworm prevention. She only weighs 39 pounds now, so we expect her to be a medium sized dog.

How to adopt this pet

All WHS dogs/puppies have received age appropriate vaccinations, deworming, flea/tick prevention and heartworm prevention. Additionally, they are neutered/neutered, heartworm tested, and microchipped prior to adoption.

If you are interested in adopting, complete an adoption application or come visit the animal of your choice.

The clinic is from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. (or later if pets are still seen). Registration begins at 10 a.m. and ends at 1 p.m. Registration is limited to the first 50 dogs or cats and clinic registration is on a first-come, first-served basis.

Expect a potentially long wait and plan your day accordingly. They can only see domestic dogs and cats. No wild animals. For your pet’s safety, all dogs MUST be on a leash and cats MUST be in a carrier to be seen.
