Famous dog trainer Aly Rodges and the art of being fair
Aly Rodges has been called the Doodle Whisperer and even a modern-day Dr. Doolittle. She has a reputation for forming some of the best doodles in the world. Her clients include celebrities from all over the country and despite her nickname the Doodle Whisperer, she and her team train all ages and breeds of dogs.
His program trains over 50 puppies a day, 365 days a year, in the art of “Just Be”. His mutts come from all over the country. When asked what “Just Be” means when it comes to dogs, she replied, “It’s more than just obedience. It’s a dog’s confidence to make good decisions while living in this world with us. His programs teach how to establish effective structure and rituals, master goal-directed activity, create special boundaries, and understand the human equation.
Aly (short for Alyson) believes that when you invite a dog into your life, you have to be prepared to live the life that’s right for that dog. Her programs expose dogs to a multitude of experiences that teach them how to face reality with a calm mindset. Some have called it “life management skills” for dogs. Aly said, “Teaching a dog to sit and come is important, but not everything. Obedience is only one piece of the puzzle, but it’s not the end of the game.”
Aly has always been an entrepreneur and has had several very successful business ventures. It wasn’t until she turned her passion for Doodles into Aly’s Puppy Boot Camp ten years ago that she discovered how fulfilling and impactful it is to turn her passion into a business. She said: ‘I can’t tell you how amazing it is to get up and go to work every day. It’s not without its challenges, but it’s all better when you love what you do and you’re motivated. His success has allowed him to give back to his community. She helps families get trained service dogs for their children diagnosed with autism.
Today, her husband and son have joined her amazing company and so have their own doodles.
Aly has created multiple ways for dog owners to train their puppies in the art of “just being”. In addition to her 2-3 week in-person boot camps, she offers virtual private coaching. She also has an online “Pillars of Pack” leadership academy that teaches you how to live with your pup from puppyhood to maturity in a safe, healthy and civilized way. Everyone is also welcome to join their private Facebook group with weekly live trainings and monthly training videos covering all sorts of topics.
