Southend dog trainer’s TikTok videos get millions of views
A dog trainer whose incredible videos have been viewed by millions has been hailed as a ‘dog whisperer’.
Lee Jones, 42, is a qualified trainer and behaviorist at Southend Dog Training and regularly posts his video tips and success stories on TikTok.
One of his most impressive videos features an aggressive dog, Teddy the Black German Shepherd, who has had seven different trainers in five years.
None of them had been able to make a difference in the dog’s behavior – until Lee intervened.
After just one two-hour session, the dog was transformed – he was seen walking calmly alongside his owner, sitting down and being petted.
Lee said: “The owner couldn’t even walk past a dog without Teddy going crazy – he even pulled them down three times on a walk.

“They considered putting Teddy to sleep because all the previous coaches left him feeling there was no hope of stopping his responsiveness.
“But, since my visit, Teddy’s owners are doing great, and so is Teddy.”
Lee joined Southend Dog Training, which was set up by a friend, in August 2020.
He said: “It’s an amazing feeling to wake up every day and not only do a job that I love, but also help dogs and owners who have been told repeatedly that their dogs aren’t trained and they need to be medicated or put to sleep or they can’t be trained.”
Prior to joining Southend Dog Training, Lee worked for dog rescue where he trained dogs for adoption.
Lee said: “I’ve always had reactive dogs as pets that I trained, it’s just something I’ve always loved to do.
“Even before I received training, I just had a natural way with dogs and I was never afraid of dogs biting me – stupid or not!”
Lee makes annual tours where he travels to the UK and visits these problem pooches – and their owners.
The dog trainer has had five near-misses with aggressive dog attacks in his time – the worst being one of his German Shepherds, who left him bleeding in a field.
