Pet of the week Tazz bulldog American Staffordshire dog adoption

The pet of the week is Tazz, a male bulldog/American Staffordshire mix, about 5 years old.

Tazz is such a cute guy and has the biggest smile and a tail that constantly wags when he’s happy. He makes all the staff at Taunton Animal Shelter smile back when they see him.

He is a strong boy and he needs someone with knowledge of the breed and some training experience. He can be very protective of toys and has a tendency to pull on the leash – for this reason the shelter does not recommend small children. He loves to play with toys.

Walking Tazz with an easy-to-walk harness and martingale collar makes it easier and more enjoyable for both of you. He loves the playground, but he’s happiest when there’s someone to play with.

The shelter recommends a house with a fenced yard — it would not be suitable for an apartment.

Tazz seems to get along with most dogs, but would prefer a cat-free home.

He has skin issues – the shelter recommends a good quality, grain-free dog food that specializes in skin sensitivity and is low in calories.

Tazz is a wonderful boy who will fill your home with love, laughter and camaraderie.
